Sigh. This isn't funny anymore. At the end of last season, I reviewed
the horribly uninspired logo for the Birmingham Barons, which was nothing more than a
NIBS* over a BIC.** Then, for the first week of this season, I reviewed
the equally horribly uninspired logo for los Toros de Tijuana, which was also nothing more than a
NIBS over a BIC. So what do I get this week?
Well, it's not exactly a NIBS over a BIC, because the baseball isn't
inside a circle. So I guess it's a NIBS over a B? A NIBSOB, perhaps?
I don't know. And just to send the needle straight into the red on the
cliché-ometer, they added a couple of crossed bats behind the
baseball. Oh, and the banner! Yes, that'll fix everything, because no
other team has ever put a banner in their logo before!
Argh. One day I'll actually get to review a baseball logo that's worth
reviewing. But clearly, today is not that day.
